What's especially interesting about this broadcast (to me, anyway) is the way the news-broadcasters initially have no definitive information to satisfy the sudden wall-to-wall coverage, and so a lot of time is filled with commentary by expert, but equally uninformed, commentators. (i.e. Major George Fielding Elliot)

The second most interesting thing is that they're getting all their early information from GERMAN news services and CBS warns the whole "invasion" thing might just be "an outright German LIE!"
